Mohiomap is a combination of two words: Mōhio, and map.
In the Māori language, Mōhio (moʊ.hiː.oʊ - rhymes with "rodeo") means to know, understand, realise, comprehend, and recognise. This definition reflects our mission; we want our users to gain insights into the underlying relationships, structures and trends in their data, so that they may better understand the data that they work with every day.
Māori is one of the official languages of New Zealand, where Mohiomap is being developed by Mohio Ltd.
The second word, map, reflects our method of achieving our mission. Your Map in Mohiomap displays your data in the form of nodes and links - a type of visualisation which naturally resonates with how we visualize data in our minds.
